TEACHING ARTIST for the 2018 Players-Level Bay Area Shakespeare Camps

  • Educates campers ages seven to thirteen in voice, movement, text analysis, and theatre history

  • Collaborates with different teaching artists to create a fun and educational two-week intensive for the campers, culminating in a 30-minute production

  • Taught arts integration outreach at local Middle School: exploring Ji-Li Jiang’s Red Scarf Girl; S. E. Hinton’s The Outsiders; The Odyssey; Public Speaking Workshops

  • Assisted and manages on-sight classes for students in 3rd through 9th grade in scene study and musical theatre

  • Teaching Artist on day camps for rising 1st through 5th-grade students

  • Planned and executed audience engagement, including creating inventive lobby dramaturgy material – such as video components and QR code galleries – and leading student matinees and post-show discussions

  • Integral member of the 2019-2020 season planning process by way of reading, evaluating, and discussing possible plays each week

  • Assessed new works for MTC’s Calicchio Play Prize competition and Marin Young Playwrights Festival

  • Assigned and arranged nominators for the 2017/2018 Barrymore adjudication process, communicating with over thirty theatre companies and seventy adjudicators

  • Tracked finances of Barrymore Participation fees through consistent organization of files and communication with representatives at companies

  • Created manuals for organizational prosperity within the company

 

Cal Shakes Summer Shakespeare Conservatory   |   Oakland, CA   |   2017

 

ARTISTIC LEARNING INTERN for the Summer Shakespeare Conservatory

  • Performed the roles of Counselor, Teaching Assistant, Stage Manager, and Assistant Director over four week and two-week camps

  • Taught two theatre classes with for middle/high school age students: the history of the war of roses for Richard III; Commedia dell’arte master class

  • Operated soundboard and contributed to light board programming and light refocusing

 

Kids 'N Dance Summer Camp   |   Oakland, CA   |   2016

   

COUNSELOR of musical theatre, dance, and circus camp for ages four to twelve

  • Ran light and soundboard, and acted as deck crew for weekly performances
